Regis College Athletics Complex

Weston, MA

Originally a women-only school founded in 1927, Regis College enrolled its first co-educational class. The 132-acre campus in Weston, MA, has an enrollment of 3,000 undergraduate and graduate students. To accommodate the new diverse student body, Regis partnered with VHB to provide engineering and permitting services for major improvements to their athletic facilities.

The Athletics Complex project included construction of a new softball stadium, six tennis courts, synthetic track with infill field, throwing areas for track and field events, a soccer field, a support building and approximately 40 parking spaces. By prioritizing low impact design, our innovative approach to stormwater management addressed rigorous environmental regulations while minimizing infrastructure costs.

VHB’s long-term relationship with the College avoided a start-up delay and allowed the project to maintain an aggressive schedule, opening in time for the fall athletic season.
